Highlights of the Program

This NC Board of Nursing approved course is designed to meet the training requirements to become qualified as a Medication Aide.

Covering the six rights of medication administration, topics will include medication administration (oral, topical), effectively tracking medication distribution, and taking vital signs as necessary.

Upon completion, students should be prepared to take the competency exam and demonstrate the necessary skills to qualify for the listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry.

Course Information

Prerequisites

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current listing on NC Nurse Aide I Registry
  • Copy of unexpired Drivers license or State ID
  • Copy of Signed Social Security Card

  • April 6 - May 11, 2024
  • July 13 - August 17, 2024
  • Classes held on Saturdays from 9am - 1pm
  • Tuition: $86.25
  • Medication Aide book required, must be purchased at the bookstore
  • Class size is limited to 10 spots per class
