Pottery: Beginning Wheel Throwing

If you have ever watched someone throw pottery on the wheel, you know that it is a mesmerizing process! In this 6-week course you too can experience the magic by learning to throw pottery on the wheel. Through demonstrations and one-on-one coaching, you will learn all the steps to create simple forms such as bowls, cups, and bud vases. Learn about the properties of clay and how to glaze and fire work so that it is colorful and food safe. But be warned…pottery is addicting! You may be back for more! Cost includes one bag of clay, use of classroom glazes and kiln firing. Tools are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred.
