Pottery: Swirling Clay

Swirling with Possibilities! Learn to use colored clays on and off the wheel to create pottery with beautiful swirls and patterns! We will explore agateware, nerikomi, and millefiori to open up whole new worlds of possibilities for surface design. This clay is designed for intermediate to advanced students with a basic knowledge of throwing and handbuilding.

1. Making colored clays, throwing agateware

2. Trimming agateware and intro to nerikomi

3. Advanced Nerikomi and millefiori

4. Week off

5. Glazing, once fired beads?
