First Citizens Bank Scholarship Endowment Established at Haywood Community College Foundation
The Robert P. Holding Foundation, Inc. has established an endowed scholarship at the
Haywood Community College Foundation. The $30,000 endowment can be used for full or
part-time students in any program of study.
“The Robert P. Holding Foundation has a strong sense of respect and gratitude for the work of Haywood Community College and the programs it offers to enhance the lives of the citizens of North Carolina,” says Hank Dunbar, Senior Vice President of Philanthropic and Charitable Services at First Citizens Bank.
The HCC Foundation assists the college to secure the necessary and timely support unavailable through its traditional public funding source. The foundation provides funds and fosters relationships to support students, faculty, programs and capital improvements. Some of the many ways foundation gifts are used include scholarships, student ambassadors, student emergency needs, student experiential learning opportunities and much more.
