Plan for Success

Having the tools, knowledge, and support to plan your academic journey is essential to your success. The advising process at Haywood Community College utilizes a team advising approach. With both a Success Coach and Faculty Advisor you will be able to select a major, pace your studies, and have full transparency about your path to graduation.

Your Success Coach will help you onboard into the college, inform you about resources, and lay the groundwork for your academic plan. You will then transition to a Faculty Advisor who will provide academic advising, registration guidance, and educational support until graduation.

During each registration period, your advising session will conclude with approval to register for the agreed upon courses. You can then use Self-Service on your own to determine your course schedule, register, and pay for classes.
