Founded in 1965, Haywood Community College continues to offer a diverse array of affordable programs with small class sizes so students receive the personalized attention they deserve. Aside from classroom instruction, students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experiences through their program and student clubs. 

Haywood Community College is part of the North Carolina Community College System, and an open-door institution awarding associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Tucked away in the Great Smoky Mountains, the campus has been recognized for the beauty of campus by numerous organizations.
